Getting Sporky With It!

If you have been following my post you may think at first glance that today is National Spork Day or something silly like that.  Well no m’am it is not, I just wanted to feature a much underrated utensil that I personally enjoy very much, the spork!  A spork is a handy combination of spoon, fork, and fun.  I am overjoyed each time I open up a fast food restraunt handy pack to find a spork inside.

I found this adorable Spork Necklace from MaryMary Handmade on Etsy.  The spork charm on this sterling silver necklace is a petite 1″ long, so not too bulky.  I just love this!  MaryMary Handmade offers many more adorable whimsical pieces of jewelry including a Happy Teacup Necklace, Happy Manatee Necklace, and Happy Sloth Necklace.  I would be elated to recieve any of these cute pieces as a gift.

Ah, if there was ever a shirt for me this would be it.  I found this adorable Sporks Family T-Shirt from The Shirt Dudes on Etsy.  This tee comes in your choice of red, charcoal, or black and can be made in a mens or womens style.  I personally love the red.  These shirts are 100% cotton with screenprint.  At The Shirt Dudes a portion of the profits from each shirt sold are donated to various charities and with each purchase you recieve a free gift.  I love free stuff, hooray!

The Shirt Dudes have a variety of other funny shirts in case you don’t like sporks (really who doesn’t like sporks though?).  Some of my favorites from The Shirt Dudes include B is for Burrito, Today is Meh’, and Turtle Becomes Ninja.  All adorable!  Check these tee’s out.

And there you have it ladies and gents (because certaintly we have some male followers too right?).  My favorite Spork items.  Unfortunatly Etsy doesn’t have a wide variety of spork items, I hope to petition to change this so one day there will be a spork item for every taste.  Who’s with me?

Bayan Hippo

Warmer weather is inching itself closer. It’s nearly upon us and I can barely contain myself! Just this morning I was telling the woman at the gym how much I missed the warm Arizona weather. 5 years ago I wouldn’t believe that such a thing could come out of my mouth but now that I’ve experienced it I want it badly. I miss it a lot. I miss the pool specifically. At least we have the ocean here but it’s just not the same.

I found this great pool bag at Bayan Hippo that especially makes me miss my old stomping grounds. It’d be a great bag to take out on the boat for the day too. The Sailor Tote Bag is calling my name. This purse is very good suitable for daily use and also can be used at the beach. Exterior fabric of this lovely bag is striped printed high quality 100% cotton canvas. Lining is cotton too. A magnetic snap enclosure on the top will keep everything safely inside. The rope straps is soft and rests comfortably on your shoulder. I love all the little extra pockets inside of it. You can toss your keys inside the pockets and you won’t have to fish for them later. Great idea!

Odds & Ends

I’ve had a bit of a road block finding some inspiration for tonight’s post.  I’ve started a couple of posts only to go back and change my mind.  I browsed Etsy some more.  And that’s when I found Odds And Ends 4 U.  This shop showcases some unusual and different handmade items – mostly crafted from recycled glass.

It was this mosaic candle holder that caught my eye and said “share me with the world!”  I’ve blogged before about my love for mosaic, so that’s part of what drew me in.  The color was the second.  While blue isn’t my favorite color (it is my mom’s, though!), the color of this candle holder is brilliant!  And just imagine how it would look with a candle glowing inside!

Don’t just stop at this piece, though.  You’ll also find ornaments, candle plates, candy dishes and other fun, upcycled items at Odds And Ends 4U!

I’ll Take A Little Booze With My Candy

I have quite the sweet tooth today which has caused a major dent in my candy stash and thus caused a search for some amazing candy to feature today.  I found the coolest company called Lollyphile.  Lollyphile cooks up some of the most unique and yummy flavors of Lollipops ever.  The one I am absolutly craving right now is their White Russian Lollipops a delightful mixture of Kahula, vodka, and cream.  I do enjoy a nice White Russion drink and it also happens to be the drink of choice of my favorite movie character, The Dude from The Big Labowski.  How perfect!

Lollyphile has many other great flavored Lollies if White Russians are not your cup o’ tea.  How about Chai Tea?  This is one my husband would love, a wonderful mixture of black tea, cardamom, clove, black pepper, nutmeg, and sugar.  Sure to satisy the craving without the caffeine.  Lollyphile’s Lavender Lollies would be a perfect calming treat for a late night sweet tooth.  Another one I’m drooling over is Lollyphile’s Pomegranate Tangerine, I love fruity flavors too and this combo makes my mouth water.

Go check out all the wonderful combinations of Lollipops that Lollyphile offers, you will be shocked at some of the combinations and just how appealing something you wouldn’t normally think to put in a Lollipop really sound.  Which Lollyphile Lollipop would you try first?
