LoveLeeSoaps

I’m a bad friend! I haven’t been around much because I’ve been so busy with my job search. It’s a shame because I’ve had so much stuff to share with you but so little time to do much. I purposely stopped today to take time to write about something adorable though.

Those that know me and have been following this blog for years know that I have a background in dentistry. I worked for a doctor for 3 years before staying home with the twins. Well, I’m trying to get back into my passion and I’ve been interviewing at many offices. I found one I really like on Wednesday. It’s an orthodontics office. The staff was great and I felt really good there so hopefully I get that job.

I figure this blog entry needs to be dedicated to some teeth so I found some cool denture soaps that smell like peppermint from LoveLeeSoaps. They are made with moisturizing shea butter and can be used for both bath time and washing hands. These soaps have the soft scent of peppermint added that makes them smell fresh and sparkly clean! This set would make a great gift for all ages or even something special for yourself!

Green Haven Soaps Giveaway

I had the best surprise waiting for me in the mail box the other day when I got home. A box from Green Haven Soaps! Here you will find handcrafted soaps that are made using a combination of medieval inspiration and modern methods of production. They are crafted from scratch, in the cold process tradition.

These wonderful soaps are made with such skin-loving ingredients as vegetable and plant oils, herbs, botanicals and essential oils.  With Green Haven Soaps, reconnecting with nature is as simple as stepping into your bath. The soap I sampled was called Avalon and smelled like Lavender and Patchouli. It left a long lasting lingering scent on my skin, just the way I like it.

Lucky for you I was sent extra bars and decided to host a giveaway with them. 2 lucky winners will win a bar from Green Haven Soaps. I have a bar of Glastonbury and Titania that is calling someones name.

Pamper your Mom

Yesterday I brought you a gift idea for the mom(s) in your life for Mother’s Day so I thought I would continue that theme today.  This would really make an awesome gift for any woman in your life whether it’s teachers, family or friends.

Spotted Cow Soaps started out as a venture for the shop owner to cure her own skin issues and has grown “into an obsession and love for handcrafting great smelling soaps that leave your skin saying THANK YOU!”  You’ll find all sorts of delectable bath & body goodies here – from soaps and scrubs to lotions and bath fizzies.

You’ll even find some gift sets – like the Blackberry Sage Gift Set that I wouldn’t mind having for myself!  This particular gift comes with four products – a whipped sugar scrub, body lotion, bubble bath (which you can also use as a shower gel) and a loofah soap (glycerin soap with a loofah in it!).  I love blackberry scented bath goodies and I can only imagine that the sage adds a lovely touch!   What mom wouldn’t love a gift like this?!

Definitely take some time to check out Spotted Cow Soaps – you’ll find some lovely and unique items & scents.  They also are happy to fulfill custom orders, offer gift wrapping and include samples with every order!

Ricki’s Pick of the Week: Soap from Rain Barrel Soap

I am normally lured in by vibrant colored soaps with crazy shapes in them – which is mainly what my linen closet is overflowing with.  When my last bar of soap ran out, I went digging around for a new one and found a sample of Calla Lily from Rain Barrel Soap.  This sample must have been a few years old as it was buried under other soaps.  The sample is just a simple soap ball with no dye and a simple fragrance (which I am sad to see is not on their site anymore).  However, looks can be deceiving.  This little baby lathers like nobody’s business.  If I ever run out of soap, I will definitely being ordering from Rain Barrel.  The Flower soap sounds like it might be a good replacement.
