I’m in a rather reflective mood today remembering how my life was a year ago and comparing it to how things are now. This past year has been full of changes for us including my husband enlisting in the Navy, being apart for months upon months while he
trained, and then moving a thousand miles away from the only home I’ve ever known. It’s really all worked out for the best and I’m optimistic about the future and what is store for us.
I thought this The Journey Necklace from Soul Peaces on Etsy reflected my mood very well. This necklace is just beautiful with it’s moss colored chalcedony stone and handcut sterling silver tag. I find this piece to be very delicate and insprational. It will definitly be staying on my favorites list for later purchase. I’m sure through all the twists and turns of life that many of you can relate to the symbolism of this necklace. I wanted to share with you today another of the stores on Etsy that I could literally look at every item and have to fight myself tooth and nail from ordering most of them. I think my favorite pieces change weekly depending on my mood and what is going on in my life. This week it is definitly reflected best by this necklace.

Like many of you I am sure, our only computer is a laptop. I love the laptop and the ability to sit on our couch and use it, I don’t enjoy however having to balance it on my lap and how hot it gets. We used to have an ugly white cooling pad but it’s since stopping working so I want something different this time. A quick search of Etsy produced something that is so my style! These amazing Custom Personalized LapDesks from The Kiwi Bee are just the bee’s knees (yeah I went there lol). I adore how they can be personalized to my taste right down to fabric, background colors, pictures of anything, and wording! The sky is the limit and the options have me sitting here hovering over the add to cart button. But first I must decide exactly what I would like, I’m thinking a brown fabric with a teal background. How would you customize yours?
