I already ate yet I’m still starving. I’m craving massive amounts of junk food and I can’t help it. I like to bake but I just don’t have much time anymore now that I’m working again. I barely have time to breathe let alone eat. Thankfully I have Etsy to browse in my spare time. I can order all the junk and have it shipped directly to me.. or my ass rather!
Today I want some goodies from Paula’s Bakery. Those Smores Brownies are really calling my name. Graham cracker crust, moist and delicious chocolate brownie and a toasted marshmellow topping. What could be tastier? It sounds absolutely delightful!
You’ll get an 8×8 pan, usually 4 brownies, but the are rich, you can cut them smaller, or larger.

…to the Red Hat Society! Yesterday was the official Red Hat Society Day – did you celebrate? Yeah, I didn’t either. But I did find the cutest handmade bag on Etsy tonight that any Red Hat Society member would swoon over, I’m sure!
All Kinds of Art offers, well, all kinds of art! In their shop, you’ll find beautiful handmade pendants, artwork, bags & purses…and a whole section dedicated to the Red Hat Society! In that section is this adorable “Hattitude” bag. Made with a purple upholstery fabric, this bag is decked out with appliques of the infamous red hats and adorned with red sparkling crystals, purple and red trim and sequins. The bag is fully lined with red satin and features roomy pockets and a magnetic snap closure. Stylish and sturdy, you can fit all your goodies in this bag!

In the Box: Polka Dot Scent Shoppe

I was so excited to get my Little Black Box today! As always, I dug into it the minute I got home to see what wonderful handmade goodies were in my box. Kim was right – this month’s boxes are AWESOME! I was super excited that I had a scented aroma bead ornament from Polka Dot Scent Shoppe in my box. I’ve been meaning to pick up some sort of scented thing for my car – and this was PERFECT! As I had to go out to a meeting tonight, I hung it from my rearview mirror right away.
So what is an aroma bead ornament? Well, let me tell you! It’s a custom made decorative air freshener that is perfect to hang in your car, closet, bathroom or other space of your choosing. My ornament is in the shape of a moon and it’s a gorgeous dark blue color in a delicious blueberry and honeysuckle scent. And the scent – oh my! This ornament packs a powerful scent punch that the shop owner says should last up to six months. The scent is also intensified by heat. There is a small disclaimer that comes with your aroma bead ornament: they melt at 150-190 degrees Farenheit.
Another thing to note about Polka Dot Scent Shoppe is that they’ve been in business on Etsy only since February! Be sure to keep checking in on this shop as they note that new listings will be available soon.
Handmade for a Cause

I just got home from the kick-off event for the Relay For Life that I’m participating in this coming August. I’m excited to be a team captain once again and share my love for Relay as my Jaycee chapter here in Minnesota Relays for the first time. We’ve even held our first fundraiser, which was a smashing success!
I ventured out to Etsy and there are a number of handmade shops offering goods for sale for which a percentage of the proceeds will benefit Relay For Life & the American Cancer Society. Addicted Crafter has some beautiful handmade earrings to offer. They’re studs featuring a small pearl bead which are then wrapped with silver toned wire. There’s several different colors to choose from even and at only $6 a pair, you can purchase a few pairs! And, the best part is that 50% of the proceeds from these earrings will go directly to the American Cancer Society!
