If you’re a sports fan – especially college sports – you know well that March Madness is upon us! Yes, it’s that time of the year where college basketball teams vie to be the number one team in the nation. It also means my boyfriend’s birthday is quickly approaching. And, it just so happens that his alma mater - University of Kansas – will most likely be one of the number one seeds in the NCAA tourney. So, I ventured out on Etsy to see what kinds of KU handmade goodies I could find.
I instantly fell in love with Creative Caps, which sells keychains or necklaces made out of bottlecaps! Each piece is crafted with a new bottle cap which is flattened, embellished with a high quality image and sealed with a resin glaze drop. Don’t drop your keys in a puddle though – these key chains are not waterproof (but they are water resistant)! Even better – this shop is new to Etsy, having just opened their doors last month! Let’s give them a great big handmade welcome and show them some love!
Tony has to carry an ID badge with him every day to work, and I think it probably has some boring black holder attached to it. I was thrilled to find a KU Jayhawk badge holder at Brooks Boutique! I really had fun browsing this shop, too. They offer badge holders, key fobs, burb cloths, bibs, washcloth sets and much, much more! Along with collegiate designs, there’s also some fun, whimsy and classy fabrics this shop owner crafts their products from. This shop owner is more than happy to make your item to order, so don’t hesitate to convo them if you can’t find a pattern or print you like.
What fun I will have picking out some handmade goodies featuring Tony’s beloved Jayhawk! So, what’s your favorite team & who do you think will be the NCAA champs this year?
