ToweLocs- Review and Giveaway

It’s that time of the day again for another amazing product review and giveaway.  Today’s giveaway is simply amazing because it’s for a product that I have never heard of prior to being contacted about reviewing them, ToweLocs.  I love nifty household items and this one takes the cake.  Now think about how many times a day you have to adjust the towels in your house, for me I am constantly having to fool around with the towels in the kitchen because I have a curious kitten who likes to play with them, I guess them hanging on the oven door is just too appealing for him. 

 In the bathroom the hand towels are a constant argument between my husband and I.  It usually goes something like this, I walk in the bathroom to find my pretty white towel flung over the back of the toilet, YUCK!  So I yell out to the living room, “Would it kill you to hang the towel back up after you use it?”  To which he always appologizes but this behavior continues to persist no matter how much I nag.  Boy was my husband in for a shock the day I recieved my ToweLocs sample for review.

I was so stoked I immediatly opened up the package, read the directions for use, and popped this bad boy unto my bathroom hand towel.  I recieved a sample in the Artic Ice color which worked out amazing because my bathroom towels are white and black so it can (and will) be used on both sets. The picture to the left shows how ToweLocs work on hand towels.   The ToweLocs are very sturdy and they have this amazing fastner that really holds the towels in place, no slipping!  I put the ToweLocs on my towels on Saturday and haven’t had to adjust them at all since, much to my husbands dismay I’m sure. 

One of the things I like best about the concept behind ToweLocs is that these are not only decorative but functional as well.  ToweLocs come in  two sizes, 1/2″ for thinner towels (I would use this size for kitchen towels as well), or 1″ for your thicker bathroom towels.  ToweLocs also come in a vast mix of colors and textures glass, metal, and even a stone ToweLocs that I want for my very own!  These would work great for a kids bathroom, they would not be able to pull these towels down and the ToweLocs is sturdy enough to withstand tugging.

 ToweLocs would also make an amazing hostess or bridal shower gift.  The wonderful founder of ToweLocs Cindy Sawyer sent me an email today telling me about another wonderful way to use ToweLocs that I thought I would pass along because I really love how neat this is.  Instead of using a wine bag to gift a bottle of wine you could wrap the wine in a towel and use a ToweLocs (as shown to in the picture to your left) to fasten the towel onto the bottle and BAM! There you have it a thoughtful hostess gift that is incredibly functional.  I just love this.  Another way I thought that you may be able to use ToweLocs is to wrap other gifts with, say a bridal shower gift that you wrapped in a towel you could fasten with a Towelocs.  I remember getting a mixing bowl at my bridal shower that was wrapped in a nice bar towel and I thought this was a great idea.  Let’s face it wrapping paper is expensive and just gets thrown away anyways so why not wrap your gifts with more style?  ToweLocs are just so very functional I’d love to have a couple more sets for around my house.

I am so very thankful that I got a chance to review this product for you all.  It’s very refreshing to see not only a new company but a new concept being featured on The Handmade Guru Blog.  And now unto the part you’ve been waiting for:
