Handmade = Smurftastic
Tonight I bring you some whimsy, fun, Smurf-arrific handmade goodies. The Smurfs was my favorite cartoon when I was little, so I was stoked to find these Smurfy handmade goodies out on Etsy! I may be 30-something, but I will forever be a kid at heart.
The Nancymom Collection – Smurf barista apron
I love wearing an apron when I cook. And I really want this one. REALLY. This Smurftastic apron is made from repurposed, thrifted fabric, as are all the aprons in this shop.
Poppys Garden Gate – Smurf potholders
Made from upcycled vintage cotton fabric. The back has heat resistant padding. Each set is varied as they’re cut from different parts of the fabric – so no two are alike! Limited quantity – get yours now!
Kitty In Pinx Home! – Smurf oven mitt
So now that you’ve got your pot holders, of course you need an oven mitt! This item, though from a different shop, is also made from vintage fabric and features heat resistant batting that will reflect heat away from your hands. Want a set? Just convo the seller and she’ll set you up with a custom listing for a Smurfy set of oven mitts!
Dame Creations – Smurfy hobo bag
I love tote bags, and probably have too many. But, it couldn’t hurt to add this Smurftastic bag to my collection, right?! And, you bet your bottom dollar that I’d carry it with me! Made from repurposed vintage fabric, this bag is big enough for your grocery or farmers’ market haul but not too big to use as a purse. One of a kind.
Now, I challenge you to find YOUR inner child, head out to the web, and see what kind of handmade goodness you can find featuring YOUR favorite cartoon or cartoon character! Post your finds in a comment so we can all reminisce our childhood days!
