I’ve been back in Washington state for merely a week. I went from being in 120 degree weather to being in 55 degree weather in a matter of days. It’s been gloomy and Fall is most certainly in the air. I sit here in my big king size comfy bed looking out the window and I immediately want to go bake something with pumpkin and spice. Then I remember, Kim… you can’t cook! I mean, I can cook stuff out of a box but I can’t just whip up something from scratch. My family would love it if I could but it’s just not me. Until then, I’ll at least have shops like Tookie to keep my cravings in check.
There’s something for everyone at Tookie! Personally, I have my eye on the Perfectly Pumpkin Creme Cookie-wiches. For $14 you get half a dozen of their perfectly pumpkin creme filled cookie-wiches made with fresh pumpkin cookies, sandwiched together with their signature vanilla buttercreme frosting. Yum!! I’m drooling just typing that. The picture of these cookies are absolute heaven. Who’s jumping on the Tookie bandwagon with me?

Jeremy and I spent the weekend looking at new BBQ’s. We cook on the grill a lot. He’s a man obviously, so whatever he can cook on that grill he will. Sometimes I’m afraid that I’ll come home and find him making his famous banana pancakes on the grill Saturday morning. I kid. I kid. Still, it could happen? With three boys under 10 in the house and a man in this 30′s they can get into a lot of trouble if left alone!
I’ve started making mental notes of things I think would be a great addition to our new home. At the same time I can kill two birds with one stone and make them gifts for the holiday season. I found this magnetic spice kit for a grill and I think Jeremy would get a lot of use out of it. I would secretly use it as much as I could too!
The kit can be found at Dell Cove Spice Company. It comes with 10 magnetic glass top, food-grade tins. Each tin holds about 2 ounces of spices. Did I mention that the spices already come in the tins? Yep! An extra added bonus is that you don’t have to go buy a bunch of the rubs and spices yourself because they give you a jump start.
Such a clever idea and something I really wish I had in my own home.

I already ate yet I’m still starving. I’m craving massive amounts of junk food and I can’t help it. I like to bake but I just don’t have much time anymore now that I’m working again. I barely have time to breathe let alone eat. Thankfully I have Etsy to browse in my spare time. I can order all the junk and have it shipped directly to me.. or my ass rather!
Today I want some goodies from Paula’s Bakery. Those Smores Brownies are really calling my name. Graham cracker crust, moist and delicious chocolate brownie and a toasted marshmellow topping. What could be tastier? It sounds absolutely delightful!
You’ll get an 8×8 pan, usually 4 brownies, but the are rich, you can cut them smaller, or larger.

Just got home from a 6 mile walk with my girlfriend and her 2 year old and 2 month old twins. She’s a busy lady. We’re trying to walk off her baby weight and also the extra weight that I added. Thankfully for both of us it’s just peeling right off of us. I won’t talk about the Papa Murphy’s pizza that I ate once I got home. Boo!
Of course I get home and I log into Facebook and the first thing I see is a mention about Lollidreams. Really?! Lollidreams specializes in cake truffles. What are those? Simply put, they are balls of fresh-baked cake mixed with a bit of rich buttercream frosting and hand-dipped in milk chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate and beautifully decorated. The cake is more moist than a regular cake, and oh so yummy! The small size is just the right amount when you’re craving a bit of something sweet.
Now, I took a peek at the selections and I’m wondering which one of you want to share the Red Velvet Cake Truffles? Oh, yum! Deep mahogany red cake is filled with just a bit of white cream cheese buttercream icing. It is then rolled into balls and hand-dipped in white chocolate decorated with more white chocolate. Pretty and sweet, yet sinful and rich. Yes please!
