Bags and Purses

Ikabags

I almost didn’t want to crawl out of bed this morning but then I looked towards my bedroom window and saw what appeared to be sun for the 1st time in 9 months so I literally leaped out. Finally! The sun has arrived! The 4th of July weekend was a wash, truly. Rain poured from the sky until about 7 pm and then took pity on us so that we could hover around a camp fire to stay warm and watch the boys light fireworks.

Today though it’s going to be in the 80′s and we’re going to the water park! The only problem is that I don’t have a tote big enough to hold the kids stuff and snacks. I wish I had heard of Ikabags and their amazing totes before this morning. I especially love the messenger style bags because I sling them over my neck and grab hands when I’m out. The Stockholm bag is by far my favorite. This bag is huge! I love the clean simple design of it. It’s very much a bag that I would purchase and use for years and years. It’s made from 100% cotton canvas and should last you a very long time.

Snuggy Baby

It’s finally summer in Washington state! Too bad it took until the end of June for the sun to make an appearance. The kids and I have been busy all week long trying to find activities to wear them out. Yesterday we went to a local state park that’s right on the Puget Sound with our friends and walked the scenic loop for exercise. The kids brought their scooters and I pushed my friend’s  30 pound 2 year old while she pushed her new born twins. It was up hill baby! I wasn’t sure if we were going to do it considering both of us were pushing 50 plus pounds with the strollers included. It was hilarious! What a workout.

Today we’re thinking about heading to our brand new splash pad. Well, if the clouds burn off we are. It’s a big one and the kids will be be sure to get wet. The problem is, what do you do with all the wet clothes when we’re finished? No fear! I found Snuggy Baby! Snuggy Baby carries wet bags! Wet bags are the perfect solution for all kinds of messes. They have a waterproof liner sewn inside to keep your mess from growing. Just throw you messy or wet clothes into the wet bag and you will keep from contaminating everything else. Then throw the wet bag and all into the laundry. Such an easy solution for mothers on the go!

Wet bags are a must for cloth diapers, diaper explosions, potty training accidents, and messy clothes. They are also great to throw in a gym bag or take to the beach for your wet, sandy, or sweaty clothes.

Ouch Pouch

My boys and I have become accident prone. I’m not sure what the deal is. It’s like the clouds went away and the sun came out to play and now we’re all cover with scrapes, blisters, and bruises. On top of it all the kids like to change their band-aids 12 times a day so we go through those babies like crazy. Then of course I go on my 6+ mile walk the other day and come home with my huge blister and there’s not a band-aid in sight. I need my own stash.

Then I found a company called the Pillow Sew Cute. They make this product called the Ouch Pouch.  The Ouch Pouch® is an original handmade, eco friendly, reusable First Aid Pouch. If I had one of these hidden somewhere like my car or purse I wouldn’t have to hobble out to a drug store to get a band-aid for my own war wound. I love this idea. Just fill it with everything you need on the go and stash it in your car. Fabulicous!

Sew Gracious

Tomorrow is the last day of school. I’m freaking out a tad bit because it means that my house will be in constant chaos. The twins came home from school today and unloaded a years full of stuff they collected at school onto my living room floor. I was less then pleased. I’m going to need to figure out a way to make this house organized all summer long and I’m going to need to figure this out quickly.

Low and behold my good friends at Sew Gracious have these cool fabric organizer bins. They are perfect for the family room, bedroom, media room, bathroom, childrens room, nursery, by the backdoor, filled with baby gear or diapers for a shower gift. Basically, they would work for just about any room in your house all the while making you look stylish and chic! I would love to have a few of these to hold my magazines for the living room or for the kids room to hold all their cars and small toys that get lost easily. Such a great gift idea too!

National Strawberry Month

Not only do we celebrate National Strawberry Month in May, but it just so happens that today is Pick Strawberries Day!  So, I did just that – picked some strawberries!
